Fae shook his head. "The boy is harmless, he hardly knew where he was before we told him and all he wants is to go home."

The professor frowned, "Hold on a moment... Sage of Peace? I don't think there's a Sage of Peace. And I assure you, that boy in there isn't causing any harm to anyone, so I don't know why a Sage of Peace would even be needed. Wouldn't you more likely be needed somewhere that there was an ongoing conflict? All this Shadow business for example..."

"Of course I would be dealing with conflicts like that... If my dad would let me..." Norina sighed and pulled out her map, "Now Uncle Fae, I was headed here to the Mirrian Desert when I saw your 'boy' fall from the sky," She pointed down at the map she'd made, "I also needed a few supplies... I thought I could 'borrow' some. Now if you want to come on my journey it's all fine, but please don't make me go back home again! They're probably already getting locks on the windows! Help me!" Norina cried. She'd been practicing her tears in the mirror for months, they would work like a charm on Uncle.

Fae relaxed but kept hold of his niece. "What were you planning on doing in the desert?" Tears were flowing down her face but he tried to keep strong.

The Professor continued to puzzle over whether or not the Sage of Peace existed. He would have to look it up sometime.
Lila scooped up Douglas in her arms and trotted inside the house.

"I want to meet mirrians." Norina cried...'Why wasn't it working?', "I plan to stop the shadow!"

Douglas looked back at Norina over the woman's shoulder, he aplauded her cry, great technique.

"Norina, that's insane, I'm taking you home."

The Professor waved his hand, stepping forward, "Hold on, hold on. Let her plead her case. Come on love, we can talk over tea." He put his hand on Norina's shoulder and led her inside. He didn't like watching little girls cry. Tea would make it better.

"Thank you sir," At least her tears had worked on someone. "I'd love some tea, seriously Uncle Fae, know you no manners?"

Fae sighed and dropped Norina's wrist. "I'll get Rain to make you some tea while I clean these towels. Just sit and wait in the den," he turned and picked up the pile of towels from the porch, they'd spread blood onto the porch but he ignored it, "don't steal anything."

"So, tell me," the Professor said, "what does exactly does the Sage of Peace do?" He sat down in the den, and beckoned for Norina to sit near him.
Lila sat on the floor and cuddled Douglas.

"Same as any other sage really, do things our god wishes... Though as Sage of peace, hope, and justice it can be strenuous. But lucky for me I'm young and stuff isn't forced on me much, I just study magic and stuff." She stared at the nasigh intently as she spoke.

Fae rolled his eyes as he continued into the kitchen and placed the towels on the table. Norina's lies were getting old. "Can you give me those salts now?"

[Chocolate Kittens]

"What are your Gods' names?" The Professor asked, as he absently got up and rummaged through his bags. He took out a blue tin of salts, neatly labeled "Stain-Away." With a cheery smile, he brought the tin to Fae and gave him the instructions, "Here you are, lad. Dissolve a spoonful of this in some warm water and let the towels soak for a bit. The stains should come right out."

This man didn't know much about the gods so she just named the first three spirits that popped in her head, "Luul, Ursula, and Zane." She said the names nonchalant in order to keep things believable.

[Loxlorial]

"Thank you," he took the tin and placed in on top of the pile of towels before picking them up. He left the professor behind in the kitchen as he headed for the back door in the bedroom. "Rain?" Fae knocked on the door and waited for his wife's reply.

"What do you need?" She shouted to him, probably from their bed.

"I'm taking these towels outside to wash them, I need you to open the door...and ignore the blood for three seconds."

"U-uh, okay," her voice was hesitant as she opened the door between them.

"Thank you," he said to her as she turned to open the back door for him as well. She nodded and cringed at the sight of the towels as he passed her.

Outside he turned to the wall the set the pile of towels down by the basin of river water.

The Professor reentered the room, puzzled. "Aren't those spirits?" He'd read a book about them once.

Norina blushed and tried to duck the conversation, "What's its name?" She pointed at the nasigh.

Fae dunked the towels into the water and reached for the tin of salts. As he did so he remembered the request for tea. "Rain?" he called for her.

"Yes?" she answered from behind the door.

"Can you go in the kitchen and make them some tea? Something other than the blueberry, and don't say much to Norina, I'll get back to her later."

[Chocolate Kittens]

"It's a he, love," the Professor corrected, smiling. "I don't know... I never asked him... Hm. I think it started with a 'th' sound."

"Th... I don't know that's alot of names to pick from, you know nasigh love their th's." She smiled then scowled looking at it again, "So I guess my books were right... it is glowing..." She said with a great deal of disgust.

[Loxlorial]

"His name is Theo," Rain picked up the conversation in the den as she reached for the kettle of water that still sat almost full in the kitchen. She reached blindly for one of Fae's many boxes of tea, not caring which type she chose. She pulled two cups from the cupboard and fixed the tea in them.

"Ah yes! Theo, of course." The Professor smiled over at Rain before turning back to Norina. Again, he was puzzled, "You sound like there's something wrong with that. I think it's pretty. Isn't his glowing pretty, Lila?"
Lila looked up from Douglas and stared at Theo, unblinking. "Yes," she said simply, before looking back at the cat in her lap.

"Theo?" She sighed, about as stupid as she thought it would be, "I find his glowing unnatural."

Theo groaned, hearing his name for the third time, "I don't wanna get up yet, mom..."

Rain took the cups in each hand and entered the den. "Is he waking up?" She asked as she set the cups down on the table.
