Theo thought a bit. The night before was a bit fuzzy. "My friends were still out flying so I'd gone out to wait for them on the edge. Mom must have told me about a thousand times not to sit so close to the edge," He started to cry again, "But I got bumped off, or pushed, or something." He looked at the elf and shrugged, "I don't know, when he does come I never really think about asking. I'm usually just happy to see him."

Rain pursed her lips at the answer and glanced back into the kitchen awkwardly for a moment. The more the conversation progressed, the more worry and sadness she felt for the child. She wished she actually had the money or resources to get him home.

"Hum," the Professor said thoughtfully, "They should really install some guardrails up there." He gave Theo a sympathetic pat.
Lila looked up from where she was playing with Douglas. Sometimes she couldn't tell if the Professor was joking or being serious. She blinked and looked the Nasighan boy up and down. He looked so sad, she just wanted to nuzzle up to him and give him a good cuddle.

The next morning Norina woke up early and sneaked over to the couch and pulled on the nasigh. She tried to slowly wake him up without waking anyone up, "Pst nasigh I'm kicking you out of this house, get up."

Rain rolled over in bed, shrugging off Fae's arm as she left. She sighed when she passed the guest room and Norina wasn't inside. "Norina?" she called out as she entered the kitchen.

The Professor slipped out of the tent he had set up for the night. The grass was wet with dew and the trees around him were busy with adorable little animals. He watched Lila run around after a poor rabbit for a bit before stretching and making his way to the house, the Clocker Tomb tucked under his arm. He knocked on the door and called, "Good morning! How is our little nasigh today?"

Norina pulled Theo off the couch.

Theo hit the ground, "I HATE ELVES! I HATE ALL OF YOU!" Then he proceeded to cry.
